Life from city to village

Behind the Scenes

Sometimes dereliction or decrepitude is hidden. The front of a building looks great; the back, well. Not. This is behind a pub called The Wire Works in Lindley. It just shows how the 'paint' tends to peel at the edges - we live in a world where beauty is painted on and is skin deep. Take a look at the edges, and chaos is beginning to reassert itself. That isn't a bad thing. Nature is strong, and we forget we need to work with it, rather than banish it.

Today and tomorrow I am on a course. Which of course at my level means trying to cram what is essential before and after. Interesting meeting first thing on how risk is used to underpin good governance. Well, ok, I find this stuff interesting. And I make it interesting....
