Grand kids

As you know on Monday I said goodbye to a friend. She was 91 and had been unwell for many years. I used to get her shopping every Monday and I found last Monday hard when I did my shopI must now change my shopping habits.
On Tuesday her daughter popped round with this rose in memory of her mum. I have yet to decide where to put it, the rose garden or a pot.

Today was spent at the Imperial War museum. It brought back memories of talking with clients and one client inparticular who asked me to type up her war memoirs. She was from Poland and was in the resistance. The Germans were really nasty to her at times for no other reason than she was Polish.
Thet3 was a room on the secret war and I wondered if my dad was part of that. He was dropped behind enemy lines in Burma and had to triangulate the enemies wheteabouts and send signals back in morse. He was quick. I still have his silk map of Burma  which was given in case he got lost. This one is American issue though not British. He never spoke about the war years. Many men Didn’t .

Home  dinner in the wimpy.
Just wondering how much washing teenage girls can make. Washing machine on again tonight!
