Happy 200th Birthday!

A splendid day of boats and people to celebrate the 200 years of the Pocklington Canal was marked by the official opening of two new locks and an extra 2.5 miles of navigable water to use.
The main picture is the first boats coming up to the opening along with the foot followers. Extras include, the swans still with eight offspring at heel, two boats owned by friends of mine either side of a new canal sign that tickled my  sense of humour.
In other news the new plumbing was installed today with only a small flood happening.
