Our first tomatoes of the year

I haven’t tried one yet, but it’s lovely to see them ripening.  With all the hot weather we’ve had I guess they would have ripened in the garden this year.

A trip into Penistone this afternoon to have a tyre checked out.  Ann came back saying that when she went to the garage and checked the tyres one was seriously deflated.  Fortunately they couldn’t find anything wrong but they took the tyre off and cleaned the rim and the put a new valve in.  On this incredibly hot afternoon I felt they deserved some beer money.  It was worth it for the peace of mind as we need the car tomorrow.  I think we are getting to be one of their best customers!
