Hello Lola!
Backblipped 26.07.18
The morning couldn’t pass quickly enough and at last it was time to go and collect Lola.
When we pulled up at the farmhouse she was in the garden with Evelyn and Evelyn’s dogs. She didn’t see us at first but when she heard the car doors closing she came bounding over, so excited, and ran between us, jumping up then tearing round the garden. It was a lovely welcome. She then started running to the car then back to us. David opened the boot and she jumped in. Then jumped out again and went trearing around the garden and over to Evelyn then back to David then me then back to the car.
She jumped back into the boot and one of Evelyn’s little Jack Russells jumped in with her. Apparently they formed quite a strong bond. Evelyn brought out Lola’s “luggage” and while we got it in the car, she had another run around the garden with her pals.
We were absolutely delighted to be told by Evelyn that Lola had been a dream to look after. She says she has never met a dog with such a love of life or who loves everyone they meet, be they human or animal. “And,” she said, “her recall is amazing!” David nearly choked when she said that! LOL!
Evelyn said she would really miss her as would her dogs and after little Cookie said a final goodbye to Lola, she ran to her mum and indicated she wanted up for a cuddle. She looked very sad to be losing her pal. Lola will be back in September though when David is in Portugal, so it won’t be long till Cookie has her pal back :D
A supermarket stop for some provisions on the way home, then Lola was back where she belongs. We couldn’t stop cuddling her! Alan was delighted to see her too and she was soon up to her old tricks, trying to steal his socks, which he found hilarious.
Family back together! :D
More washing done = good. Growing ironing pile = not so good.
