Sun, trees and blue sky

The sun gets low so quickly at this time of the year which, if it is out, is rather lovely for photography as you get a lot of time with fairly strong horizontal light which creates lovely shadows and brings the texture out in the landscape.

Doesn't however work quite like that if you are in a wood. What one notices first however is the fact that so many of the trees are now properly bare. Winter is coming...
