Phacelia...

not Lavender, but a green manure, planted as an end of row crop next to the tatties. Just thought the horizontal lines of colour were unusual and pleasing. The Firth is like a mirror.
It was a scorching day, 26C but with the breeze to keep it bearable.
Settled for three shorter varied walks, the first in the woods and at the gorge, then coming further homewards, the Cromarty coast and finally to the marshy woodland where the lochan was covered in  Hawkers, Darters, Chasers and damselflies, an Odonata paradise!
Actually, had another walk at home and found the rare Small Scabious Mining Bee has opened its nest and is ready to emerge, hopefully tomorrow. The Scabious is not fantastic this year, as it is too dry and hot.
