The Lady’s Tower.

Lady's Tower is a ruined circular tower located beside Ruby Bay on the Fife coastal path near to Elie. It has superb open aspects - several large arched window openings frame the views beautifully. It was built in the 1760s for Lady Janet Anstruther to use as her changing room. It’s said she enjoyed sea-bathing and sent a bell-ringer around Elie to warn the local people to keep away, whilst she was skinny dipping.
