Yesterday evening with our old friends from Östersund was lovely. I'm so happy they phoned and asked if they could drop in!  They are also glad, because their car decided to play up just before they got here so they wouldn't have made it home anyway!
They delivered their car to the workshop in town at 7 this morning. I got up in time to eat breakfast with them a little later!  We decided a beach day would be a good way to spend the day while their car was repaired, and we headed off to the best beach (only beach actually) in town at Smitingen.
We had a great day. The sea was warm enough to stay in as long as we wanted, but cool enough that you felt the benefit of being in the water. The surf was just big enough to allow the surfers to do their stuff, but small enough so even smallish kids could play in it (see extra). A breeze off the sea kept us from getting too overheated.  There were a lot of people down on the beach!
