24 hours

Til the full moon.

What a 24 hours we have since I blipped yesterday.

7.30pm Emily and Storm disappeared from the garden. Heart stopping few minutes until we found them.

7.45pm. escape hole blocked up.

4.30am Team Beagle need a poo. Team Terrier inspect escape hatch repairs.

6.30am Dog walk

8.15am off to collect paint for studio improvements. No paint the right colour.

8.45am buy paint elsewhere.

9am collect wedding cakes for my stepson's party on Saturday. The cakes have sticky icing and they are not covered. My car is covered in dog hair. Improvise a solution.

9.10am drop paint at studio. Set off for next destination air con on full blast to preserve cakes

9.45am collect beer barrel. The deposit hasn't been paid. Find solution.

10am start drive to party venue 50 minutes away. Halfway there find loose Labrador in the middle of the road in the Ashdown Forest. Rescue dog. Ring owner who fortunately arrives within minutes.

11am arrive. Relieved to find cakes have survived and don't need shaving.

12.15pm arrive at John Lewis Tunbridge Wells for free tea and cake. Realise people on next table are long lost friends. Happy reunion with promise to meet once they return from holiday.

2pm arrive home to hear odd squeaking noise. Let dogs out to see them chase injured bird. Capture bird and take it to wildlife hospital. Grandad challenges Grandsons on Xbox

3pm supermarket for BBQ food

5.15pm set off for 60th birthday party. See more long lost friends. Grandsons make new friends.

9.30pm arrive home. Martin takes Chris and the boys to their house as Vikki is on a late shift.

10pm sit down. Feet up. Cup of tea. It's been emotional.
