Despite being the hottest day of the year I saw no one swimming or even paddling at Ravensheugh Sands this afternoon although they probably were at yesterday’s beach. The sea was a mixture of greens and turquoise contrasting with the white waves and golden sands and off shore the Riviera and Hildagaard crude oil tankers were lying in what seems to be an anchorage for large tankers awaiting orders.
