Sea Stacked Hollly (FF27_2018)

Aiming to keep ahead of the rain, and watch the Tour de France stage, I have gone for an Eryngium from one of our garden borders. 

Focus stacked to cut down on the distracting background,  I've accepted some of the distant parts of the plant falling out of focus.  Four images at f4 stacked together in Helicon Focus with one in the extra taken at f16 as a comparison.

This weekend is my 12 hour nights - so I'm very glad to see the temperature is set to fall tomorrow, along with some much needed rain, which has the added bonus of restricting the symphony of lawn mowers and DiY sounds :-)
