Dusty
Progress report on Dusty, who has been with us for two weeks now. He has topped one kilo! Seems happy, seems healthy. Will need a bigger bed soon.
He is a PITA, of course, as all kittens are.
As the days pass, we wonder more and more if he is not part Bengal. When Mr L saw the mother he thought she looked very Bengal-like, though he only saw her from a distance. The colour was right and her bearing was right. Dusty is certainly a feisty wee thing, bold and strong and spotted all over. He investigates the shower at every opportunity.
Well, time will tell. But it would be really strange if he was part Bengal, after we have spent so many years with them. I understand that we might be wishing for it but there is something about the look of him every now and again... just makes one wonder. He has a terra cotta nose pad, black-lined eyes, wide set ears, round paws and a spotted belly - plus a real attitude! I wish that I had seen his mother but when Mr L came home the first time that he sighted this family he was quite convinced of her heritage. One thing that I do know for sure is that this kitten did not come from a feral background. I have every confidence that the family was dumped.
Whatever he is, we love him already.
We are planning a trip in the new Hymer this coming week. Dusty will be coming along. Fun and games in prospect!
