Long long long delay

5 hours to be precise.

Should have been at Reims, in time for checking into the hotel, chill, back onto town for our tea then back to the hotel for a good night's sleep.

Instead we had to make do with a McDonald's at Calais finally getting to the hotel just before 11pm.

It was chaos at Folkestone and my camera was packed, the phone rapidly losing charge - so just managed one snap all day.

Some inspired maintenance men turned on the fire hydrant so that the dogs could cool down.

Quite a few where very reluctant, but not this border collie. He was having a whale of a time snapping away at the water.

Reminding me of our rough collie when he used to snap at the water from the hosepipe.
