Bridging the Gap

I would love to have watched this being built. The span is no more than a foot wide. How many people do you think it took?

I included the Extra, not because it's such a great image, but to remember that we saw this raccoon in the ice plant just next to the path this morning. Credit to eagle-eyed Mr S for spotting that little face! I barely managed to get the camera out of my pocket, got off this one shot before he ducked down and disappeared. How many other creatures live in this tangle of plants by the ocean?
