Riding The Flumes

The hills surrounding Breckenridge are full of old mining flumes, hand-dug channels that brought water from the hills to the mines. Since the mines have been abandoned, these flumes have been turned into trails for both mountain bikes and hikers. We discovered a network of them directly behind the house in which we are staying, so we hopped on our bikes and gave them a spin. Spectacular views of the valley and some fun riding!
