Catching up

Went up to the allotment as early as I could manage, but still got defeated by the heat. Managed to water, feed the little blighters, and also pick quite a bit of produce. Courgettes are coming on stream now, and one of the pumpkins has its first flower.

On my way home I was pleased to see the local family Swan as I hadn't spotted them for a couple of weeks. The youngsters are quite a size now, and practising flapping their little stubby wings. There are still six in total. I only just caught the last three as they were hastening to catch up with their parents and siblings under the bridge.
