Castle Farm

Long day. It started at 2.45 am when the alarm hauled me awake. By 3.30 we were in the car and on the way to Stansted, taking daughter and three friends to catch a plane to their holiday. Easy trip home for me on empty-ish roads, long wait in a chaotically crowded airport for them, delayed over two hours by the knock-on effect of the thunderstorms.

Out again later for a nice lunch outing with a good friend, at a country park by the lavender farm near Shoreham in the Darenth Valley. Love the sight and scent of the freshly-cut lavender!
