Bedlam!

Today at Munich airport! We were watching from above to see if people were starting to move towards security, passports etc. There seemed to be some movement so Ro and I joined the free for all! It was so hot that free bottles of water were distributed to anyone who wanted one! I was glad to have my Spanish fan! It took us 2 hours moving a few inches at a time till we arrived at the boarding pass control. Then we were in the usual fenced area walking to and fro. With air to breath!
This then the security machines and the loo and passport control and we hurried to our gate and were last on!

Meanwhile youngest son and family was queuing at the checkout area. A queue for families. No such thing as a queue for a particular flight. It seems all queues deal with anything! In this case many with the fact that their flight had been cancelled. He spent 2.5 hours and arrived at the head of the line as we were boarding. He missed the flight and is in a hotel in Munich! Took a while to get that too, and then the hunt for nappies.

The irony was that we sat in the plane for 45 mins waiting before takeoff.

All this because earlier in the morning there had been a security breach and a woman managed to get through without going through the necessary formalities! Don’t know if she has been found! The airport ground to a halt till 2:00. ( Ro and I had lunch)
