The Artists' Village
The most amazing chapel designed and built by Mary Watts with help from the local community. The paintings inside on the walls are exquisite. The local people worked in the studios at Limnerslease, the home (see extra) of Mary and George Watts. The chapel was built of local clay and was consecrated in 1898.
Inside Limnerslease George Watts also had his studio, hence his paints ready for work, he worked early in the morning to catch the morning sun.
