The great (wet) pit

This mighty pit has been dug for an underground Calor gas tank, to replace present overground one.
While it was being excavated it was bone dry, fortunately. Now it is somewhat wetter, though not quite a pond yet.
Another step towards completing the build but the environs seem to be getting worse rather than better at the moment. No pain no gain?
