Mario Karts
Church and creche this morning; we walked for the first time in a while as it wasn't raining for a change! Ben rode his bike and I took the ringsling for Charley. Spent the morning in creche even though Libby was covering my rota duty: Charley plays very happily but wants me around even so. Halfway through packing up at the end the fire alarm went off.... Ben ended up walking home instead of riding because we couldn't go inside to get his bike, and he held my hand the whole way, desperate for reassurance that there wasn't a fire. (There wasn't: a fire alarm got hit by a football it would seem.) And when we got home we couldn't get in the house anyway because the door and frame had expanded in the heat of the direct sun and my key wouldn't turn in the lock.
We'd really quite like a new front door bought and fitted for Christmas please.
Ben played in the car while we waited for Steve to get home.
We did some painting in the afternoon! Charley napped in the meitai on Steve, and Ben and I painted up three big canvases and got the kitchen a bit messy. LOTS of fun. Only really possible when Charley is asleep at the moment, so I'm glad Steve is able to look after him too! His arms and legs were still a bit green after his bath hehe.
This picture is from when the boys were playing Mario Kart on the Wii. Yoshi was helping Ben and Charley was helping Daddy. Kinda. By not eating the remote. Just really caught by Charley's eyes in this one - and Ben's face!
