North Lancashire sunflower

Its not every year that a sunflower grows outside our garden gate. Its not any year, apart from this one.
Last week I left my purse in the ladies lavatory in Kyle of Lochalsh, as you do. Knowing that I would never see it again I cancelled credit cards etc while I was away but saved the driving licence until I got home. The DVLA website stated quite clearly that if you don't have a passport, which I don't, you can't replace your licence online, you have to do it by post and send your birth certificate and NI card to prove your identity.
I ambled off to the PO, feeling more than a little irritated about being treated as a sub-citizen because I don't have a passport, to get a form and new mug shots. Got home, and browsing through the leaflet that came with the form I found a paragraph that said you can replace lost licences by phoning the following number. I phoned the number and indeed, after parting with £20 they were willing to send a driving licence straight away. "It doesn't say this on the website" I said to Sophie, on the other end of the phone. "It doesn't", she agreed......
