Be Careful What You Wish For
I wanted rain, and rain is what I have.
The morning was dry, and I spent it cutting down flowered out perennials - it looks like September in the garden. The amount of growth is phenomenal, the compost heaps are overflowing. As for weeds, the only good thing I can say is they are so tall that I don't have to bend to pull them out.
Now water is pouring from the sky, just as if someone had turned a giant hose on. Luckily we got nearly home before it started.
This is Kelso, around 4 pm, and it isn't mono ....
