Outdoor pleasures

Enjoyed a day of cooking/prepping various foods with the kids (fermented carrot sticks, blackberry jam, beef stew, kale crisps...) and a long time in Newhall, spent picking the blackberries for the jam, and throwing sticks into the stream... very pleasant! And the kids have been great (on the whole..) - in fact week without Sam or Paul has so far been easier than I’d anticipated!
