Feeling Sprightly
I finally got her out of her night clothes, cleaned up, dressed and fed. What a difference a day makes. Mom keeps forgetting that she's here for the duration and thinks the original plan, for her to stay here while her roof is being replaced, is still in effect. She'll get used to the idea.
Today, despite the triple digits, she wanted to sit outside while I was tending to the birds' needs. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but while she was sitting there a Lesser goldfinch landed on the table about a foot from her. Could she have been Snow White in a previous life?
Mom quote of the day: "I could never live here year-round. It's too hot!"
Of course, we've both lived here for more than a decade.
