Exercising on the beach.

We had a trip to Donaghadee this morning, coffee in the garden centre, then a trip around the shore before heading back home. There were 2 horses exercising on the beach, and it looked such an idyllic scene, the empty beach with the horses galloping across.
We've been surprised by how empty the beaches, especially on the sea coast of the Ards Peninsula, have been, even on really hot and sunny days. Beautiful sandy beaches, with the number of people there in single digits. I'm sure the beaches of Portrush, Portstewart and Newcastle have been busy, but other beaches have been empty- and delightful.
