New Tiger Trail

We were going to have a short lie in but we were both up and therefore out of the house by 9am! First stop St Helens for various odds and ends then on to Knowsley Safari Park for the day. 

I hadn't been since they opened the new Tiger Trail, which you walk around so I had to choose a photo of the the Tiger when she kindly lifted her head for a short while. 

We covered everything in the park. I was delighted to find that the bird of prey show was outside. It's always been inside when I've stopped before. We had a fab time as we were on the front row and positioned well, thanks to one of the stewards who took one look at our cameras and tripods and made sure we were in the best place for photos, telling us where the birds were going to fly. We took loads of photos, which have mainly gone in the bin, but it was good experience. I was pleased with my shot of the bird in the extra.

A fabulous day and much needed refreshment to lift the spirit.
