Boundary book

One of my tasks these days is the coordination of the digitisation of the parish boundaries if the Church of Scotland. The state in which they are kept varied considerably across the country.

This morning I collected the "Boundary Book" of the Presbytery of Falkirk, which stretches from Cumbernauld to Bo'ness. It is a thing of beauty, about 18 inches square, thick paper and exquisite writing.
