Cable laying

I saw the AMT Discoverer yesterday, making it's way westwards, not too far offshore, accompanied by four or five tugs. This morning it was stationed off Martello Bay and seemed to be getting down to some serious work. Dong Energy are laying a cable beneath the sea wall which will run from a metering electricity sub station about half a mile inland and out to sea about four to five miles. Out there they are building a couple of new demonstration wind turbines which are meant to be bigger than ever.
Can't wait.
