Weed flower. vacant lot, Albuquerque, NM

The baby, pup and I started off on a special adventure today, headed for somewhere exciting. Somehow I decided a stop at Trader Joes on the way. When we came out, we noticed a note on the windshield that noted our back passenger tire was low. We headed off to get it fixed. Stop 1, was at Autozone where we got a can of Fix a Flat which exploded in my hands when I pressed the button. I went in got another can and tried again and got the tire sort of re inflated. Next stop was to get the tire fixed. It turned out to irreparably damaged, so we got a new pair of tires. Sigh... But it didn't blow while we were driving and it didn't dump us with a flat tire some place unpleasant.

The baby, pup and I went looking for a photo in some nearby vacant lots. There were actually quite a few wonderful flowers amidst the trash. We did manage to flatten two tires on the stroller with goatheads and the pup was claiming that we had flattened his tires.

Today. I give thanks for the day I was given, fortuitous grocery stops and beauty amidst the trash.
