Bumblebee

I have two sizes of bumblebees in my gardens. One kind is gigantic, the other kind is of a smaller type.

My personal story of bumblebees is this: for years I’ve been telling people how gentle bumblebees are; you can go up behind them and pet their backs. Indeed, I have done such a thing many times. Now to the end of the story: In the last several days I have been stung twice by bumblebees. Both times I was walking with open-toed sandals in my backyard amongst a field of blooming clover. Ouch—bumble bees do sting!!!! Sadly my yard has two less bumblebees. Will I pet other bees in the future? Probably!
