Belatedly celebrating Joe's birthday today and we decided to go back to the Boathouse at Glencaple, as I had been so impressed by it yesterday.

We sat at a table overlooking the river, and watched the tide come in and the rain come down. The tall ship, La Malouine, was anchored there and I had ample opportunity to gaze out at her complicated rigging.

Today the Nith, tomorrow the Thames...
