The smoke gets in my eyes

An early morning session at Lake Alpine, before the crowds descend with their kayaks and outboards, and ruin the peace and quiet.
The smoke from the wildfires seems thicker than ever, but we are told this is mostly from the "back-fires", deliberately lit to control the spread of the main fire, in this case threatening Yosemite National Park. The smoke does add a certain something to photography, but what a tragedy it is for people and property.
