Bristol and a new interest for the grandson..
Jake has discovered he really enjoys good graffiti .. not messy ‘tagging ‘ no .. proper stuff ..I could easily have blipped 25 or more photos of him and his new delight !
We also did the sculpture trail ‘Gromit unleashed part 2’ which was lovely but much more spaced out than the other sculpture trails we have been on in other cities and Bristol a few years ago ..
Tits McGee and I are taking Jake back to the museum and Art gallery in a few weeks time as he wanted to spend more time in there ... plus we have other graffiti to show him .
Whilst out and about in Bristol we witnessed a man being given CPR by some kind strangers .. they kept him going until the paramedics arrived .. at first whilst I was sat on the bench eating my Greggs baked bean lattice I thought that it was some people fooling about .. after about 6 minutes it became apparent I wasn’t watching street entertainment but the real thing . Jake also thought it was a play to start with and he settled down on the railings and ate a gingerbread man .. he still seems to think it was a joke and that’s fine .. he can think that as it transpires the poor fella was reacting to a drugs overdose :-( his mate was with him and sadly he was in such a state the paramedics couldn’t understand him .. he looked a bit more than shell shocked so we offered him some food as we didn’t know what else to do . It was all rather surreal . I don’t know what has become of the other chap as we decided that it wasn’t very nice standing and gawping .
We walked about 10 miles throughout the day (my watch tells me ) and Jake never moaned once , he decided to drench himself in one of the many city water parks they have ... then we wrung his clothes out put them back on him and he walked back to the car very damp and loving it !!
It was a most unusual day ....
