You take a stick of bamboo

These are bamboo roots they have infested my daughter-in- law’s back garden. Planted by the previous owner they have spread everywhere threatening the neighbours’garden and even the house’s foundations. It is a labour of Hercules to remove them - the Augean stables come to mind - and she has done a valiant job digging them out. I’ve helped a bit during my stay, and on the basis that blip should reflect the dominant preoccupations of the day, this shows a tiny fraction of the offending plant.
