Acorn Woodpeckers!

I visited one of my favorite local parks today and found a huge "Castle" of Acorn woodpeckers. They were occupying over a dozen trees, full of nesting holes, and there must have been over 50 of them flying around. I tried to get a shot of a group of them, but they were very leery of my presence. It was quite amazing and I will be going back there soon.

I could hear the sounds of chicks inside the tree holes!
