Day 214/18. Romsey Abbey
An escape from the heat for few minutes to visit Romsey Abbey.
Despite its size, this is a lowly Parish Church, albeit the largest in Hampshire.
One interesting fact: The West Window seen here had a huge stained glass window that survived the blitz of World War II and the extensive bombing of the Southampton area only to be destroyed by a storm in the 1960's. It now has simple plain glass.
