Red Squirrel

Poor photo - the weather is dreich and the photo has been taken through glass with an intervening wind blown branch.
We are fortunate enough to have an adult and a young red squirrel visit our garden many times a day to collect and then bury hazel nuts. It has been interesting to watch them learn how to access the nuts from this feeder, and initially amusing and frustrating to see the young one sit on top and try to get through the plastic front. Tits have also been temped by the contents.
The grey squirrels are less than half a mile away but measures are in place to restrict their spread.
