Castle flowers

I went bowling this morning, it's always enjoyable as it's not too serious and we always have a good laugh.

I went for a wander around the village this afternoon. There must have been some sort of event in the castle as a florist was loading tubs of flowers into her car from inside the building.

As the castle is owned by the village and admission is free, private as well as public events are needed to bring the money in.  The castle is a charity so grants, proceeds from the cafe and the car park honesty box generate the rest of the income for maintenance and running costs.

These beautiful flowers were awaiting their turn to be loaded into the florist's car.
