Watching from on high

We took all of KS1 to Blackpool today. We left school at 8:30am. Arrived at the tower and had lunch in the Ballroom while listening to the organ being played and watching dancers. Then it was on to the circus which the children just loved. Of course it was the 'rude' jokes the clown made that they enjoyed best! Then we watched a short '4D' movie about the tower. I really enjoyed watching the children trying to reach for things that looked close. Then we climbed up to the top of the tower spending a fair bit of time on the glass floor looking down.
We then crossed the road and went down onto the beach to let all 90 kids have a run around and a sandcastle 'competition', stopping only briefly for an ice-cream. A walk to the end of the pier for the toilets completed our day before getting back on the bus. No problems on the bus either way. The children did a really good job of entertaining themselves with little games. We pulled back into school at 6:20pm. Perfect!  :)
