Kertin Paets
A fine warm and calm day, but it's mostly been cloudy, with the sun trying to get out now and again.
Another day working on the museum desk. There was also a cruise ship in Lerwick, so a steady day of visitors. There was a tree sale on in town, and managed to get 17 trees at bargain prices, £7! Finished work and a mad dash to the peat hill. Once finished, we popped along Madeline for a cuppa. Feet up for the night now.
After getting the peats bags up yesterday, it was time to get them home. Peerie Brian helping, and also John Robert Manson came with his quad, it really speeded things up. One hiccup, the trailer sunk into the peat bog, so John's lass Marianne came and towed us out. Many thanks for all the helping hands. Next job, finish off building the peat stack. Taken at Brunt Hamarsland.
