Butterfly Tree and the Lost Child

From a series of sculptures anonymously created and gifted in support of 'libraries, books, words, ideas', this, the last, is resident on a windowledge on the stairway to the reference section of the Central Library.
When we passed this last week the figure of the child was absent, I assumed the title was metaphorical. Only seeing it today did I realise that it had been missing.
