After the storm

We had a terrific storm last night that laid most of my flowers onto the ground.  High winds and heavy, heavy rain so that we had a small pond in our yard area.   This morning I walked out and tried to get some of them out of the dirt so that the sun would dry them up.   It worked.   The moonflower plants are standing back up and the zinnias are doing okay..battered but okay.

This is one flower that took a beating.  It was covered by the mulch when I went out this morning and lost a couple of petals but it still came back to life.

I love a good storm..nature is so amazing!    I repeat that to myself every day!
