Samuel M. Bailey

This is a local Chesapeake Bay oyster buy-boat, the Samuel M. Bailey. It hails from Bushwood, MD. She was built in 1957 and is considered to be a new boat as they are no longer built. This boat has been in the same family since she was built and is used for business and pleasure. I got up at 5:15 am to head out to the marina to watch them run out the inlet and head down the Potomac River to Urbanna VA. It was quite a sight and well worth getting up for.
