Mr Big ears!

I know I have blipped this species before, but I simply couldn't resist blipping this magnificent Eared treehopper Ledra aurita. It is found locally across Britain, but may well be under recorded due to it's excellent camouflage as you can see.
At 13 - 18mm it is a large species of hopper, (this one was easily 18mm in length if not bigger) that lives on lichen covered tree bark where it blends in beautifully. Luckily for me they are also attracted to light, and a fairly common visitor to my moth trap.
