First day of the season

There is always something special about the first game, all those expectations, past failures forgotten, a buzz as you arrive. I was determined to sit in my seat today but the climb up the stairs was hard. The weather made it hot so I can’t say I was at my best. But we won 4-0 and that compensates for how rough I felt getting back to the car. The air con helped restore me and though I do feel very tired now I made it, we did it and another season starts.
