Dawn birds

I spied this pair of doves (pigeons?) on the roof of a house in the street opposite this morning. (The 'street opposite this morning'? That sounds a bit Edward Lear...)
I had just staggered out of bed and was gearing myself up for a curious Tuesday.
What do you think our birdy pals were doing over there? Having a wee feathery chat perhaps or just chillin', watching the sun melt upwards into a very grey morning?
