Backblip
A very early start meant we were at the golf course just after 7.30am. It's the first time I've been to watch golf. We walked some of the course, watching various shots and putts, then stopped off for a breakfast bacon roll. Walked more of the course before mid-morning coffee, and then more of the course heading towards the main hospitality area by lunch time. Unfortunately, as we approached the hospitality area the rain arrived and set in quite hard for the next hour. We huddled under the cafe marquee but decided to pass on lunch as it was so busy.
As the rain stopped we were by the driving range and I was able to get some photos. Cameras were not allowed on the course, although I did sneak the second and third photos, the second on my phone and the third with my camera on full zoom from behind some trees (while she was lining up I hasten to add, not as she took the shot!)
We left early afternoon as we had done a lot of standing and the weather was not at its best. It had certainly been an interesting day and a good experience.
We had a relaxing afternoon at the campsite and managed to eat our evening meal outside as the weather had improved by then.
