And so, this year’s Festival has begun...
A Brunch Cocktail Masterclass at Chop House in Bruntsfield today - completely free of charge. There’s one on each Saturday in August, if you can still bag a space.
First, their take on a Paloma, accompanied by gooseberry and elderflower sorbet with pineapple. Then Rosata Spritz with guacamole on sour dough. Finally, a mild (by choice) Bloody Mary, complete with bacon and egg toppings, alongside a taster-sized hot chilli muffin.
We stayed for some chips and greens afterwards as a late lunch, then went to the BBC’s festival venue for a drink in the sun. So nice there at George Heriot’s School.
